CAMBODIA-SIEM REAP 2: four more temples, food and beer!

Preah Khan

Neak Pean: temple surrounded by an immense artificial lake. A lot of the water is covered by what seems, at first sight, like some sort of lichen, or perhaps short grass.

 Ta Som

Pre Rup: a bit like a pyramid temple, with many towers on top

From the top, you can see many miles of jungle and semi-covered temples around
We found a very nice restaurant (Khmer Kitchen) in the old market area of Siem Reap, a part of the city that still retains a french flavour. (Carlos has one small regret from this place: we didn't have time for getting our feet pedicured by fish!).
Pedicura
We returned to the restaurant a few times - a tuk-tuk was about 2 dollars to get there (after bringing the price down from 3 or 4). Food was incredible!

What  we saw from our table. After one meal, we got $1 fruit shakes here; you can ask for any combination - mangos, papaya, pineapple, banana, ...
Excellent local beer, which helped yours truly to go through some delicious but very spicy food.
Most dishes are accompanied by rice, which they serve separately and you add as you wish - and need, to mitigate the fiery spices!
A dish with tofu and fried green pepper. Not pepperS, like in the green or red stuff you put in a salad, but the stuff you mill micrograms into your meal. Here we had whole bunches of them.
Pepper!
